At some point, I’ll make all of the games playable on mobile. The trick is coming up with a playable interface for some of these games. I tinkered with this for a bit, but put that on hold because I wasn’t happy with the outcome.
Frogger seems like it’ll be one of the easiest, since there is no jump button. I figure I’ll just allow you to swipe anywhere on the screen in the direction you want to go. And maybe some virtual buttons for coin-in and game start. Plus, there isn’t any high score initials screen in Frogger, so I don’t have to worry about that either.
Games like Donkey Kong Junior are going to be a bit trickier. I want to maintain the playability as much as possible. Thought about adding a virtual d-pad on the screen, but I’m not a huge fan of those. My fingers never stay put on them while focusing on the game action.
And no, I don’t have any plans to add game controller support yet. Mostly because I don’t have any, nor do I care too much about using them.
